About

Hello, I’m Naomi…

Welcome to Westvale Home!

Meet Westvale HomeOn my blog, you’ll discover tips for transforming your house into a home, including organization routines, meal planning, tutorials, decorating, and much more. I’m passionate about creating a cozy environment, keeping my home in order, experimenting with my “ferments”, and spending time in the garden. There’s something truly fulfilling in embracing the simplicity of a homemaking life and turning my abode into a warm and welcoming place for family and friends, while also prioritizing healthy living and resourcefulness.

snowy couples photoshootMy husband, Gabe, and I live in a suburban area of California. Although we dream of owning a little homestead someday, we’re thankful for a home that meets our needs now. We have a quirky little 1970’s house with a bold linoleum-floored kitchen and bright orange countertops. It’s not my style, but it works for now! Both of us grew up in a city setting and were brought up in families that taught strong moral values and godly living. Now married, we continue to seek God while pursuing wholesome living and learning new skills to save money and avoid unnecessary ingredients.

Though it’s just the two of us right now, we hope to start a family soon. We look forward to homeschooling any children the Lord blesses us with.

One thing we’re deeply passionate about is hosting people at our home. Gabe is a social butterfly, and even though I’m an introvert, he’s taught me to love and appreciate others in a way I didn’t before. One of the ways we enjoy blessing others is to invite them into our home. Our hope and goal is that they’ll always feel welcome, whether the house is put together or not! Over our couple years of marriage, hospitality is a love language we’ve been learning and have come to cherish.

On my blog, I share insights on the art of hospitality- how it blesses others and helps you stay on top of household chores.

Growing up, I learned a lot about cooking, cleaning, and regular housekeeping tasks, but I’m amazed to learn something new every day! The wonderful thing about homemaking is that you don’t need a college degree, simply some time to experiment and learn. Even if you didn’t grow up with a thorough education in home economics, there’s so much you can learn if you allow yourself the time and freedom to try things out and make mistakes.

My goal is to inspire young wives and mothers with practical ways to keep the home in a way that’s efficient yet fulfilling, even in the most mundane of tasks.
